Soulberry

It's a bit of both with this result. Here is a once-great team limping out and there is a novice impatient to climb up the rungs. While there is joy for the other, there is sadness at the state of the former.

Fielding was poor generally but the noticeable thing about West Indies was the bowlers still belived BD to be minnows and they just had to bowl at them. Bit like Oz yesterday. But when the teen tsunamis (well, Ashraful is barely out of it yet) began to use unconventional methods, West Indian bowlers were flummoxed. They had no plan B to their fast and furious lines.

That said, 60-70 runs earlier, a casual Fidel Edwards dropped the match. It was fielding that finally mattered.

Tubby

Hey you hv got a tremendous cricket blog. Mine blog too on cricket. Do visit.

Outside The Line

Thanks for that Tub (and S'berry). The feeling's mutual, believe me. I've added you both to the Links section, and I'm definitely interested in building a sort of 'community' around the cricket blogs, full of off-track discussions, and give-and-take. These are exciting times for cricket geeks like us... lots to talk about.
